Casa de animales is an online store specialized in selling pet supplies —dogs, cats, birds, fish, and more— with a business model based on direct shipping from suppliers. The company aimed to position itself as a modern benchmark within the e-commerce space for pets, combining a varied catalog with a clear, reliable shopping experience adapted to different devices.

Challenge

Although Casa de animales had a solid business proposal, it lacked a defined visual identity and a digital platform that conveyed modernity and trust. The main challenge was to design the brand identity from scratch —logo, typography, color palette, and visual style— and translate it into a functional and scalable online store, designed to compete in a very active and growing market.

Another key challenge was backoffice usability: the system needed to allow managers to add items, create offers, or update the catalog in a simple and intuitive way, both from computers and mobile devices.

Goals

The project aimed to provide Casa de Animales with a modern, minimalist, and technological visual identity, in line with the company’s innovative vision. A distinctive logo had to be created, accompanied by a typography and color palette capable of conveying trust and contemporaneity.

Based on this, the second major goal was to develop an intuitive, adaptable, and easy-to-manage online store, offering a smooth and comfortable user experience for both customers and administrators. The design had to ensure scalability, visual consistency, and optimized navigation on desktop and mobile, where a large part of digital consumption now takes place.

How We Worked on It

The work began with defining the branding, developing a logo with a minimalist and technological visual language, accompanied by legible typography and a fresh, modern color palette, designed to generate trust and closeness. Simultaneously, a library of visual components was created to ensure consistency across the entire digital ecosystem and lay the foundation for future evolutions.

In the UX/UI design phase, the online shopping experience was prioritized, structuring the store with clear navigation flows, simple product categorization, and an optimized checkout process. On the internal management side, a simple and intuitive administrative panel was designed, facilitating product uploads, promotion creation, and stock control.

The website was developed in Magento, a CMS specialized in e-commerce, ensuring flexibility, scalability, and full compatibility with mobile devices.

The Result

The result was a solid, modern, and recognizable brand, accompanied by an intuitive and functional e-commerce platform. Animal House now has a coherent digital identity that reinforces its market positioning, and an optimized online store that offers an agile and attractive shopping experience for users, while facilitating the internal management of products and offers.

Overall, the project established Animal House as a competitive proposition in the pet e-commerce sector, ready to grow and adapt to new market needs.
